About CCAL
The Concerned Citizens Association of London (CCAL) is a grassroots organization focused on empowering Londoners through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Our mission is to promote transparency, accountability, and fairness in municipal governance, while advocating for policies that benefit all citizens.
CCAL is driven by dedicated focus groups, each addressing critical issues to create a meaningful and lasting impact in our community.
Main Focus Groups
City Budget Planning
The City Budget Planning focus group examines the city’s financial priorities to promote low taxation and reduce wasteful spending. With economic stress and inflation affecting Londoners, we emphasize responsible use of public funds and question the potential influence of unelected city staff on budgetary decisions.
City Governance
Our City Governance focus group serves as a watchdog to ensure the Corporation of the City of London (Ontario) remains a self-governing and democratic municipality. We work to protect the city’s interests and uniqueness by monitoring external influences and advocating for citizen education on municipal governance.
CPAL - Concerned Parents Association London (and Area)
We are a grassroots group of parents and citizens dedicated to challenging the ideological agenda promoted by school boards that diverts focus from the core curriculum. Join us in advocating for a well-rounded education for our children and working toward a brighter future for our community.
L.E.A.F. – Logical Environmentalists Against Fear
The L.E.A.F. focus group advocates for practical, local efforts to address pollution in our air, water, and soil. We promote responsible and sensible solutions to environmental challenges, rejecting climate alarmism, which we believe hinders the goal of fostering environmentally-conscious citizenship. Our mission is to inspire balanced, effective actions that benefit both our community and the environment.
